Carlo G. Nicolis, M.D. was born and raised in the New York City metropolitan area. A third-generation physician, he attended Loyola College in Baltimore, MD where he received an undergraduate degree in Philosophy. After college, he was active in medical research, including work on the diabetes drug Byetta. He then attended the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan. During residency, Dr. Nicolis completed two years of General Surgery and four years of Urology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, New Jersey. Upon graduation, in 2005 he practiced general Urology in Montgomery County, MD. He and his family relocated to Delaware County, PA in 2007 where he continues to provide urologic care with Associates in Urology in Media. As many urologic issues become chronic conditions, he enjoys building long-term relationships with his patients. Dr. Nicolis is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of both the American Urologic Association and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America. In addition to the full-time practice of general urology, Dr. Nicolis has a special interest in the surgical treatment of erectile dysfunction. He is involved in the teaching of medical students and residents. He has been recognized locally in Top Doctor surveys multiple times. When not providing urologic care Dr. Nicolis enjoys running, woodworking and learning to sail with his son.
