Pankaj Kalra, M.D. graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in electrical engineering, and received his M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia Dr. Kalra completed his surgical internship and urology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He subsequently completed an accredited fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Kalra is the Director of Robotic Surgery at Phoenixville Hospital. He is one of the first surgeons to perform robotic prostatectomy in the region and has performed over 500 robotic procedures. He performs a range of minimally invasive surgeries including bladder and prostate removal, nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy, urinary tract reconstruction, as well as advanced endoscopic and percutaneous removal of complex kidney stones. Dr. Kalra joined Academic Urology in 2005 and is board certified by the American Board of Urology. He has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and remains actively involved in educational activities in the field. He has been named a “Top Doctor” in numerous issues of the Main Line Today magazine and most recently was named a “Top Doctor” in 2020 in Philadelphia Magazine.
