Brian David Rosenthal, D.O., FACOS
Education and Background
Dr. Rosenthal is medical director of the MidLantic Urology Surgery Center. He served on the board of directors of Suburban Hospital in East Norriton, PA and is active on the medical staff at Suburban Hospital, Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, Abington Health/Lansdale Hospital and Phoenixville Hospital. He is chief of urology and urologic surgery at Suburban Hospital as well as the director of minimally invasive robotic surgery there.
Dr. Rosenthal was raised in Springfield Township, Montgomery County, and attended Springfield High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., then attended medical school and completed his internship at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center and his urology residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. During his residency, Dr. Rosenthal spent time at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he gained additional training in urologic oncology and pediatric urology.
Dr. Rosenthal has a special interest in robotics and minimally invasive urologic surgery for tumors of the kidney, ureter, and prostate as well as non-malignant urologic diseases. He is a certified instructor and proctor in robotic surgery for Intuitive Surgical, Inc. He performed the first robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy at Suburban and Chestnut Hill hospitals using the Da Vinci robotic system. Dr. Rosenthal is one of a few urologists in the area to perform in-office laser prostate surgery for benign enlargement of the prostate (BPH).
Dr. Rosenthal has been practicing in the East Norriton area since 2004. He evaluates and treats men and women with all urologic problems and diseases.

The Canadian Journal of Urology published Dr. Rosenthal’s article titled, “Photoselective Vaporization of the Prostate in Office and Outpatient Settings.”
