Carlo G. Nicolis, M.D. was born and raised in the New York City metropolitan area. A third generation physician, he attended Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland where he received an undergraduate degree in Philosophy. After college he was active in medical research, including work on the compound that would become the diabetes drug Byetta. He then attended the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan, graduating in 1999. During his residency, he completed two years of General Surgery and four years of Urology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark , New Jersey. Upon graduation in 2005, he practiced general Urology in Montgomery County, Maryland. He and his family then relocated to Delaware County, Pennsylvania in 2007, where he continues to provide urologic care with the Associates in Urology branch of Midlantic Urology in Media.
As many urologic issues evolve into chronic conditions, he enjoys building long-term relationships with his patients.
Dr. Nicolis is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urologic Association. He is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, Department of Urology and is involved in the teaching of medical students and residents. Dr Nicolis has been recognized locally as a Top Doctor on multiple occasions, most recently in 2021.
When not practicing urology Dr. Nicolis enjoys running, watchmaking, woodworking, and volunteering time with his son’s Boy Scout troop.
