Education and Background
Dr. Arrigo earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Rochester, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude in 1979. He earned his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine in 1983 and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed two residencies (internal medicine and radiation oncology) at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Arrigo has participated in multiple clinical trials involving prostate cancer and has been study chairman on a dose escalation trial involving stereotactic radiosurgery for prostate cancer. He has 20 years of experience in low dose rate and high dose rate brachytherapy (seed implants) for prostate cancer.
