Dr. Tia (Teodora) Schellato graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor degree in Biology. She attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where she obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. She completed her general surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center and her Urologic Surgery residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Albert Einstein Medical Center, and Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Schellato’s urologic interests include comprehensive female health, female urology, sexual health, voiding dysfunction and urodynamics. Disorders treated include pelvic organ prolapse (“dropped” bladder, uterus, vagina, rectum) urinary incontinence (“leakage”), overactive bladder, urinary tract infections, interstitial cystitis, vulvodynia (vulvar and vaginal pain), dyspareunia (pain with intercourse), and sexual dysfunction (difficulty with orgasm, arousal, desire). Dr. Schellato provides care for all kinds of urologic problems, from the simple to the most complex. This includes medical and surgical treatment of conditions such as enlarged prostate, overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, and prostate cancer. Kidney stone disease, treatment, and prevention is another special interest of hers.
