We have three state-of-the-art Radiation Oncology Centers throughout Philadelphia run by the region's top oncologists. Our goal is to provide every cancer patient with the best possible treatment available. This allows us to better meet the complete needs of our patients while providing a setting and staff that understands the unique challenges of your cancer.
At the Radiation Center, your treatment is directed by radiation oncologists. These specialists, working with the Radiation Center’s latest treatment technologies, guide patients and their families through all of their options for care.
The Radiation Center provides patients with a certified Nurse Navigator to help you understand and better cope with the many challenges that can come with cancer. Your nurse navigator works with you in each step of the process through diagnosis, treatment, and follow up.
Our team also includes an on-site physicist, dosimetrist and information technologist along with accredited radiation therapists, technicians and nurses. They are experienced using highly precise advanced technology including IGRT, IMRT and RapidArc Volumetric Arc therapy, resulting in better outcomes and fewer side effects.
Although we see a lot of prostate cases, we treat all kinds of cancers. We frequently get referrals to treat bladder, breast, brain, and skin cancer. This is because we have top oncologists and skilled technicians that utilize the latest in comprehensive chemotherapy, radiation and surgery to give our patients the best possible treatment.
We employ treatment protocols that are well tested and successful in clinical use with the latest technologies such as Image Guided Radiation Therapy including the added benefits of RapidArc™, technologies that provide precision treatment with fewer side effects.
With a strong research division, we also have several cancer clinical trials underway at any given time. If you are interested in participating in a study, please call our Clinical Research Line at 610-667-0458.
Patients and families feel special from the moment they arrive at the Radiation Center. We work hard to establish a welcoming community of people. From fellow patients to the medical team of therapists, physicians, nurses and staff we develop a comfortable atmosphere where long lasting friendships begin. Fostering a positive state of mind and emotional stability, two factors that have a positive impact on effective treatment and positive outcome.
We work closely with Fox Chase trained and board-certified radiation oncologists at many local hospitals. Our three state-of-the-art Radiation Oncology Centers — accredited by the American College of Radiology — allows us to offer our patients a private center option where a urologist is always just a few steps away.
