This state-of-the-art facility was built specifically for the care of our urology patients.

The Center was designed for convenient and comfortable outpatient surgeries. It features three modern and spacious operating rooms with the most up-to-date endoscopic and surgical equipment for urology procedures. It is approved for major and minor urologic surgeries. Here’s what you can expect:

Reception and Waiting Room

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by our staff, who will check you in, answer your questions, and ensure you are comfortable.

Pre-Op and Post-Op Area

Our top-tier staff is trained and prepared to meet all your needs as they prepare you for your procedure. After your procedure, you’ll relax in one of our 11 recovery bays. Your family member or caregiver will be invited to join you while you rest. Just a short distance away is where they’ll pick you up when you’re ready to leave.

Operating Rooms

The Center features three modern and spacious operating rooms with the most up-to-date endoscopic and surgical equipment for urology procedures.

What to Know Before Your Visit to The MidLantic Urology Surgery Center

  1. Labs and EKG – The surgery coordinator at your specific MidLantic Urologic office will notify you of what lab tests are required prior to surgery (if any) and whether an EKG is required.
  2. Medical Clearance – The surgery coordinator at your MidLantic Urology office will notify you of the required medical clearance prior to surgery.
  3. Transportation – Please ensure a responsible adult can drive you home from your surgery.
  1. Do not eat anything after midnight the night before surgery.
  2. Do not chew gum or eat candy after midnight the night before surgery.
  3. Nothing to eat or drink after midnight.
  4. You may brush your teeth prior to your procedure.

Prompt arrival on the day of surgery is important to ensure we have enough time to get you ready for surgery. If you are going to be late or need to cancel, please call immediately at 610-273-5320.

  • If you are a diabetic, check your blood glucose (sugar) level at home the morning of surgery, and please report the results to the nurse when you arrive to the surgery center.
  • Bring a list of your medications (including dosage) with you to the surgery center.
  • Please follow the instructions provided by your surgeon’s office or primary care physician regarding what pills you can and cannot take on the morning of surgery.
  1. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing for the day of surgery.
  2. Leave all valuables and jewelry at home if you are able.
  3. Body piercings and jewelry MUST BE REMOVED prior to surgery.
  4. Do NOT wear contact lenses. Please bring reading glasses as needed.
  5. Avoid wearing make-up.
  6. If you wear glasses, hearing aids, dentures or other prostheses, you may be asked to remove them prior to surgery.
  7. Absolutely NO FIREARMS are allowed in the building.
  1. You will NOT be permitted to drive yourself home from the surgery center if you have received anesthesia. Upon admission you will need to provide a contact number to register a family member for which we can contact.
  2. You must plan for a responsible adult (CANNOT be a Taxi, Uber or Lyft) to accompany you and drive you home. Failure to make these arrangements may result in the cancellation of your surgery.

Post-op discharge instructions will be provided to you and your family member after your surgery. A nurse will review these instructions with you.
