David J. Ellis, M.D.
Education and Background
Dr. Ellis is a native Philadelphian and is pleased to live in the community in which he also serves. He has been a practicing urologist for his entire career with devotion to his patients and to the teaching of future generations of urologists. He is proud to deliver direct and personal care to each of his patients.
He has an undergraduate degree in biology from LaSalle College. He is a proud graduate of Jefferson Medical College. This was followed by completion with distinction of the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Urology Residency program.
Dr. Ellis is a national board member for Solaris Health Partners. He is also a current Board Member for Large Urology Group Practice Association, the largest association for clinical practice Urologists. He is clinical assistant professor of urology at Jefferson Medical College, an instructor for the Department of Family Practice at Bryn Mawr Hospital, and past director for laparoscopic teaching with Bryn Mawr Urology Seminars.
Past leadership and teaching roles include membership on the Medical Executive Committee for Main Line Health and the Medical Staff Treasurer. Dr. Ellis served on the board for Whitehall Insurance Company, Aetna/US Healthcare Specialists, and the Society for Quality Urologic Care. In addition, he served on the advisory panel for the National Council on Aging and as secretary of Urology Patients for Access to Care.
Dr. Ellis is regularly voted “Top Doctor” designation in the field of Urology.
