Donald Andersen, M.D., F.A.C.S., has been practicing urology in Chester County since 1994. He holds an AB cum laude from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 1989. At Jefferson he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society, the Hobart Amory Hare honor medical society, and received the Merck clinical award in Surgery and the E. Harold Hinman Prize in Family Medicine. He completed a residency in Urology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Andersen is currently on Active Staff at The Chester County Hospital, Brandywine Hospital, and Paoli Hospital. He has a special interest in prostate cancer diagnosis and management. He performs robotic-assisted laparoscopic prostate surgery along newer diagnostic procedures including transperineal prostate biopsies and MRI fusion guided prostate biopsies. His practice also includes all aspects of general urology. Dr. Andersen is certified by the American Board of Urology. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Urological Association, American Medical Association, and the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Dr. Andersen has been recognized as a “Top Doc” by Main Line Magazine and Philadelphia Magazine.
