George Dakwar, M.D.
Education and Background
Dr. Dakwar earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical biology at Stevens Institute of Technology. He completed his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School, where he also completed his residency in urology. He pursued further training in urologic oncology during a fellowship at New York University.
Dr. Dakwar has distinguished himself as a urologic oncologist, with expertise in bladder, prostate, kidney and testicular cancers. He works in conjunction with a highly trained group of medical and radiation oncologists. He has additional interests in stone disease and urinary obstruction such as BPH. He is proficient in laparoscopic, robotic and endourologic minimally invasive surgery. He has been practicing in Delaware County since 2009.
In addition to his work as a urologist, Dr. Dakwar is involved in educating and training medical students from nearby medical schools.
